GUIDE (Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience) is a Medicare program that helps families caring for a loved one with dementia access professional care support at no out-of-pocket cost.

What does GUIDE provide?

Through GUIDE, eligible families can access:

  • A dedicated care navigator who helps coordinate care and connect you with resources

  • 24/7 support line for caregiving questions and urgent concerns

  • Caregiver training and education specific to dementia care

  • Respite services so primary caregivers can take a break

Who is eligible?

GUIDE is designed for people who:

  • Are enrolled in Original Medicare (not Medicare Advantage)

  • Have a dementia diagnosis

  • Live in the community (not in a nursing home)

What does it cost?

There is no out-of-pocket cost for families. GUIDE is funded by Medicare.
