Inviting family members or other trusted contacts to a vault

How to share a vault with family members or other trusted contacts, and how access control works.

One of tendercare's most powerful features is the ability to share a vault with family members, close friends, or other trusted contacts. Everyone can see the same information and contribute, so no more scrambling to figure out who has what.

How to invite someone

  1. Open the vault you want to share.

  2. Tap Share or Invite (look for the share icon or people icon).

  3. Enter the person's email address.

  4. They'll receive an invitation to join. If they don't have a tendercare account yet, they'll be guided to create one for free.

For security, invitation links expire after 24 hours. If the invite isn't accepted in that window, you can simply send a new one.

What can shared members see and do?

People you invite can:

  • View the vault's documents and information

  • Add new documents

  • Contribute to Reminders and your tendercare Plan

  • View tenderID information

The vault owner controls who has access and can remove members at any time.

Who should I invite?

Invite people you trust to be part of your loved one's care. That might include:

  • Siblings so everyone is working from the same information

  • A close friend for extra support when you can't be there

  • Anyone else in your trusted circle who plays a role in care coordination

Removing someone from a vault

Go to the vault's sharing settings and remove their access at any time. They'll no longer be able to view or edit the vault.

Privacy note

You control who has access. tendercare never shares your loved one's information without your permission.
