A tour of tendercare

What each section of tendercare does, on the app (Home, Vault, Find Help, Reminders, Community) and the web dashboard.

tendercare is available on both the mobile app and the web. The app has the most features. The web dashboard gives you the core experience with a few extras (like drag-and-drop file uploads). Most people use both.

On the mobile app

The mobile app has five main sections.

Home

Your starting point. Home shows you:

  • Your tendercare Plan, with step-by-step guidance tailored to your loved one's situation

  • Alerts that need your attention

  • Daily Check-Ins to log how your loved one is doing today

  • A profile switcher so you can easily move between vaults if you're managing more than one loved one

  • Upcoming Reminders, so nothing slips through the cracks

Vault

Each Vault is a secure space for one person's information:

  • Medications, allergies, and conditions

  • Important documents (insurance cards, legal documents, medical records)

  • Emergency contacts

  • tenderID settings

  • Notes, where you can capture observations, log Daily Check-Ins, and generate a printable check-in history for doctor visits

If you're caring for more than one person, you'll have a separate Vault for each. See Setting up your loved one's profile (creating a vault).

Find Help

The interface to the Trusted Network, tendercare's vetted network of elder care professionals. Browse and filter Members by service type and location. See What is the Trusted Network? and Finding care providers in your area.

Reminders

One master screen for to-dos across all your loved ones: appointments, refills, enrollment deadlines, and follow-ups. Tag each reminder to the loved one it's for, assign reminders to family members, and see suggested reminders based on your loved one's profile. See Reminders: Staying on top of what matters.

Community

A private, in-app forum where caregivers ask questions, share experiences, and learn from each other and from tendercare's experts. See How to use the community.

On the web dashboard

The web dashboard at trytendercare.com gives you most of the same capabilities, with a few naming differences and a few app-only features that aren't included.

Profiles (= Vaults in the app)

Vaults are called Profiles in the web dashboard. Same information, different label. You can view documents, manage medical information, update emergency contacts, and adjust tenderID settings from the web.

Find Help

The same Trusted Network is available on the web. Browse, filter, and view Member profiles just like in the app.

Reminders

Create and manage reminders from the web. (Note: push notifications are app-only. The web doesn't notify you.)

tendercare Plan

Step-by-step guidance is available on the web as well.

Document uploads

The web has a useful advantage: drag-and-drop file upload from your computer.

App-only features

A few features are only in the mobile app:

  • Community

  • Medicare import (the web will direct you to download the app)

  • Push notifications

  • Autofill from Image with the camera (the web version works with uploaded image files)

Designed to work even if your loved one isn't on their phone

The tendercare app, the Vault, and tenderID all work without your loved one needing tech on their end. You can manage their information from your own phone or laptop, no matter where they live.
