Your Vault is tendercare's secure document storage system. Think of it as a digital filing cabinet for your loved one's most important paperwork.
What can I store in a vault?
You can upload virtually anything:
Insurance cards and Medicare/Medicaid information
Medication lists and pharmacy information
Legal documents (wills, power of attorney, healthcare proxy)
Doctor contact information and medical summaries
Hospital discharge instructions
Financial account details
ID cards and passports
Photos of physical documents
Autofill from Image
When you add a document or medication, you can use Autofill from Image to capture key details automatically:
Medications. Snap a photo of a prescription bottle or over-the-counter packaging. tendercare reads the label and fills in name, dosage, and other key details.
Documents. Photograph or upload documents and tendercare pulls out the key information so you don't have to type it in manually.
You can review and edit anything before it's saved.
Tip: Add medications one at a time. If you upload a single document or photo listing many medications, the system won't split it into separate medication entries. For best results, capture each prescription bottle or package individually.
How to upload a document
Open the relevant vault.
Tap + Add Document.
Choose to Add with Camera, Autofill from Image, Upload a PDF, or Add Manually.
Review the details, edit if needed, and save.
Notes and Check-Ins
Each vault also has a Notes section, your space to capture anything that doesn't fit neatly elsewhere. From Notes you can add a regular note, log a Daily Check-In, or generate a printable check-in history for doctor visits. See Daily Check-Ins: Tracking your loved one's wellbeing for more.
Can I search my vault?
Yes. Use the search bar inside a vault to find any document by keyword, document type, or date.
Is my information secure?
Yes. All documents in tendercare are encrypted at rest and in transit. Only people you've explicitly invited can access the vault. See How tendercare protects your information for full details.
Tips for getting the most out of your Vault
Start with the most critical documents: insurance card, medication list, and Medicare card.
Keep documents updated when things change, especially medications.
