Reminders: Staying on top of what matters

How Reminders work: one master screen across loved ones, with assignment, notifications, and suggested reminders.

The Reminders section helps you stay organized across all the moving parts of caregiving and share the load with your family.

Where to find Reminders

Reminders live in the main menu of the app. It's one master screen for everything across all your loved ones, so you see your full caregiving picture in one place. Each reminder can be tagged to the loved one it's for.

What kinds of reminders does tendercare track?

  • Medicare and Medicaid enrollment deadlines

  • Medication refill reminders

  • Upcoming medical appointments

  • Legal document renewals (power of attorney, ID cards)

  • Follow-up calls to doctors or care facilities

  • Custom reminders you create yourself

How to create a reminder

  1. Open Reminders from the main menu.

  2. Tap + Add Reminder.

  3. Give it a name and a due date.

  4. Choose which loved one the reminder is for.

  5. Optionally assign it to a specific family member.

  6. Save it. You'll receive a notification when it's due.

Shared reminders

If you've shared a vault with family members, the reminders for that loved one are visible to everyone with access. You can assign reminders to specific people so it's clear who's responsible for what.

Getting notifications

tendercare sends you push notifications for upcoming and overdue reminders. Make sure notifications are enabled in your phone's settings for the tendercare app. Your upcoming reminders also appear right on the Home screen.

Suggested reminders

Based on your loved one's profile, tendercare will suggest reminders you may want to set, like Medicare enrollment windows when they're approaching 65. You decide which suggestions to add to your list.
