How do I delete my account?
Open Account Settings in the app or web and look for Delete Account, or email us at [email protected] and we'll process it for you. See Deleting your account and data for the full picture of what happens when you delete.
How do I request a copy of my data?
Email [email protected] from the email address on your account and ask for a copy of your data. We'll verify your identity and provide your information.
Can I delete just one vault instead of my whole account?
Yes. If you own a vault, you can delete that individual vault from its settings without closing your account. The rest of your account stays intact.
Can I remove myself from someone else's vault?
Yes. Leave the shared vault from the vault's settings, or ask the vault owner to remove you. This doesn't affect your own account or vaults.
Is deleted data really deleted?
Yes. When your account is deleted, your data is permanently removed from our systems, with residual encrypted backups purged on a scheduled cycle in line with our data retention policies. Deletion is not reversible.
Who can request deletion?
Only the account owner can request deletion of their own account. If a loved one has passed away and you need to close their account, email [email protected] and we'll guide you through it with care.
