The tenderID fridge decal is designed to work with how first responders are trained. Here's where and how to place it.
Why the refrigerator?
EMTs, paramedics, and firefighters are trained to check the refrigerator area when responding to a home emergency. It's one of the first places they look for medical information, medical alert stickers, and emergency contacts. The tenderID fridge decal is placed there deliberately so it fits directly into this existing protocol.
Where exactly to put the decal
Place the decal in a spot that's highly visible when the refrigerator door is opened or when someone approaches the fridge:
Front of the refrigerator door, at eye level or near the top of the lower section
Side of the fridge facing the kitchen entrance, if it's more visible from that angle
Avoid placing it on the freezer (bottom or top) where it might be missed, or behind other magnets where it could be hidden.
Make sure it's clearly visible
Keep the area around the decal clear. Don't cover it with other magnets, notes, or photos.
If you have a decorative refrigerator cover, place the decal at the top edge where it still shows.
What if my loved one lives in a care facility?
If your loved one lives in an assisted living facility or nursing home, check with the facility about their preferred placement. Many facilities have a designated location for medical alert information. The wallet card may be more practical in this situation.
