Daily Check-Ins let you (or anyone with vault access) quickly log how your loved one is doing, building a clear record over time.
What does a Check-In track?
Each Check-In captures two things, and you can select one or more options in each:
Mood (how they feel). Calm, cheerful, anxious, sad, irritable, stressed, or confused.
Behavior (how they act). Laughing or smiling, calm and content, cooperative, engaged or curious, confused, angry, crying a lot, hitting or throwing, or cursing.
You can also add notes for anything else worth remembering from the day.
Where to do a Check-In
There are two ways in:
From Home. Tap the Check-In prompt right on your home screen.
From the Vault. Open your loved one's vault and go to Notes, then tap Add a Check-in.
A Check-In takes about 60 seconds.
The Notes section
Notes is your space inside the vault to capture anything that doesn't fit neatly elsewhere. From Notes you can:
Add a Check-in. Log changes in health, mood, or care
Add a regular note. Capture observations, questions, or anything you want to remember
Generate a check-in history. Pull together everything you've logged (see below)
Generate a check-in history
When you're preparing for a doctor's appointment or a family conversation, tendercare can generate a summary of your Check-In history:
A printable history so you're prepared for any conversation
Summarized with what went well, areas of concern, and notes
Tip: if you're taking it to a doctor's office, print it or save it to your phone in case of spotty wifi
Why are Daily Check-Ins useful?
Over time, Check-Ins build a clear picture of patterns and changes in your loved one's health and behavior. When you're talking to a doctor or specialist, you'll have a real record instead of trying to remember.
Who can do Check-Ins?
Any family member or trusted contact with vault access can log a Check-In or add a note. Even if you're not the primary caregiver, you can contribute observations when you visit.
