How to use the community

What the tendercare Community is, how to participate, and how it's moderated.

The Community is tendercare's in-app space for caregivers to connect, share experiences, ask questions, and learn from each other and from tendercare's experts.

What is the Community?

The Community is a forum inside the tendercare app where caregivers talk to each other. It's peer-to-peer, with tendercare's care experts also contributing answers and guidance where helpful.

Where to find it

The Community is only available in the tendercare app (iPhone or Android). It's not available on the web.

Private to tendercare

The Community is private to tendercare users. It's not public, not searchable from the web, and not visible to anyone without a tendercare account.

Choose your display name

You choose how you want to appear in the Community. Use your real first name, a nickname, initials, or anything else you'd like. Your name is up to you.

How to participate

  • Read and learn. Browse posts to see what other caregivers are talking about

  • Ask a question. If you're stuck, ask. Caregivers and tendercare experts will weigh in

  • Share what you know. If you've been through something, your experience can help someone else

  • React and reply. Show support, ask follow-ups, share resources

A lightly moderated space

The Community is lightly moderated to keep conversations respectful and safe. We may step in if posts cross a line (harassment, spam, anything harmful), but the goal is to let the community itself be the main voice.

A few things to keep in mind

  • Be respectful. Everyone is here trying to take care of someone they love. Default to kindness.

  • Avoid specifics that could identify you or your loved one. Skip full names, exact addresses, and full medical record details.

  • The Community isn't medical advice. It's caregivers sharing experiences and tendercare experts sharing information. Always talk to a qualified professional before making medical decisions.

  • Report anything off. If you see a post that feels wrong, let us know.
