How Trusted Network Members are vetted

The 20+ hour vetting process every Trusted Network Member completes: experience, licensure, background, reputation, and Code of Conduct.

"Trusted" isn't just a name. Every Member of the Trusted Network goes through a rigorous vetting process before they're accepted. More than 20 hours of work goes into vetting each one.

What the vetting covers

Experience requirements. Every Member must have at least 2 years of experience working with elder care.

Licensure and insurance. We verify that Members hold the required licenses for their profession and carry appropriate insurance.

Background and reference checks. Members complete background checks and provide references, which we contact.

Reputation review. We review each Member's track record, including online reviews, complaints, and standing within their professional community.

Code of Conduct. Every Member signs and agrees to follow the tendercare Code of Conduct, which sets standards for how they treat tendercare families.

Ongoing standards

Vetting isn't one-and-done. Members are expected to maintain their standards, and we act on feedback from families. If a Member falls short of the Code of Conduct, they can be removed from the Trusted Network.

What this means for you

You're never starting from zero. Every Member you find through tendercare has already been screened, so you can focus on finding the right fit for your family rather than worrying about whether a provider is legitimate.

A note on due diligence: Vetting reduces risk, but it doesn't replace your own judgment. We always recommend interviewing providers, asking questions specific to your situation, and confirming the fit before hiring.
